The Exploring the Arts program at Shea’s Performing Arts Center introduced students in grades nine through twelve to a number of art forms, including the visual, literary, and performing arts. Students participated in seven workshops, worked with artists in various disciplines, received a tour and workshop at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, attended a performance at Shea’s Performing Arts Center, and created and performed an original written work (poem or monologue) that was inspired by a work from the Albright-Knox’s Collection. The theme of this exhibition is writing inspired by visual art.
