Filmmaker, performance artist, and Buffalo State College Communication Department Technical Director Brian Milbrand explores the Structural Filmmaking movement, discussing work by Hollis Frampton—who was a contemporary of Tony Conrad and Paul Sharits in the 1960s—and the work of artists still developing the movement’s ideas today, including Meg Knowles, Jody LaFonde, Liz Knipe, Vince Mistretta, and Milbrand himself.
