Albright-Knox Curator Heather Pesanti has organized an exhibition for Artpace San Antonio. International Artist-in-Residence: New Works 11.1 opened on Thursday, March 24, and will be on view through Sunday, May 22, 2011.

The exhibition features work by E. V. Day (New York, New York), Devon Dikeou (Austin, Texas), and Kelly Richardson (Toronto, Canada/Newcastle, England), whose work is also in the Albright-Knox’s Collection.

According to the Artpace San Antonio website, its International Artist-in-Residence program “annually invites nine artists to conceive and create pivotal art projects, providing artists with unparalleled resources and allowing them to take time, take risks, and unveil new ideas.” The organization invites internationally-recognized guest curators to select three artists for each residency. Richardson’s inclusion in New Works 11.1 marks the first time a Canadian artist has been selected for the international program.

For more information about New Works 11.1 and the featured artists, please visit the Artpace San Antonio website.

Richardson’s work will also be on view at the Albright-Knox in the exhibition Videosphere: A New Generation, opening Friday, July 1, 2011.
