On Sunday, April 21, 2013—as part of the new AK Teens program presented by First Niagara—Western New York high school students were invited to have their work reviewed and critiqued by area artists and fine arts professors. Participating students were encouraged to ask questions about their work and seek guidance on attending college art programs and pursuing careers as artists.

These portfolio review sessions were followed by the AK Teens Panel Discussion “Career Chat: Working in the Visual Arts,” which featured a panel of museum professionals and artists, including Albright-Knox Curatorial Assistant Laura Brill and Albright-Knox Director Janne Sirén, as well as Amy Greenan, Felice Koenig, Megan Metté, all artists and professors at Western New York colleges and universities.
