April 29, 2013

Albright-Knox Director Janne Sirén serves juice to students from West Seneca schools and their families

On Saturday, April 20, the Gallery hosted a community reception for students whose works are featured in the current education exhibition Artworks in the Knox, as well as their families and teachers. The Albright-Knox’s new director, Janne Sirén, chatted with artists and helped serve refreshments. View photos from the reception, below.

Artworks in the Knox features approximately three hundred works created by students in kindergarten through grade twelve, from all twelve schools in the West Seneca Central School District (seven elementary schools, two middle schools, and three high schools).

Artworks in the Knox is on view in the Education Exhibition Hallway through Sunday, May 12, 2013. Admission to the exhibition is free this Friday, May 3, as part of M&T FIRST FRIDAYS @ THE GALLERY.
