On Tuesday, June 11, Curator of Education Mariann Smith led members of our After Hours @ AK program on a walking tour of the Albright-Knox’s outdoor sculpture. Participants with iPhones also had the opportunity to help us beta test our new Outdoor Sculpture Walking Tour using the Historypin app. Digital Media Manager Kelly Carpenter walked guests through how to download and use the app, and pointed out specific features along the tour. (The app will be rolled out to the public after further testing.)

Thanks to the Members and Corporate Partners from Buffalo.com, Computer Task Group, the Elmwood Village Association, M&T Bank, Phillips Lytle, Rich Products, and Walsh-Duffield Insurance who attended (Computer Task Group and Phillips Lytle for the first time!) and helped us test the app. And thanks to AK Café for providing hors d’oeuvres and Magic Hat Brewing Company for providing drinks for the happy hour.

The next After Hours @ AK event will take place on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, when Associate Curator of Education Nancy Spector will lead an exploration of the Robert Therrien exhibition.
