To honor Marquis ‘Ten Thousand” Burton’s dedication and remarkable two-decade journey, we proudly present "The Slam for 10k"—a ten-part slam series spanning various locations throughout the WNY area. This series serves as a tribute to Ten Thousand's unwavering commitment to poetry and its transformative power in our community.  

Each slam offers poets the opportunity to showcase their work and compete for $1,000 in prizes. It's not just about the competition; it's a celebration of creativity, passion, and the ability of words to empower and unite.
