Friday, November 1, 2013, 6 pm
Join us as Doug Yeomans shares his infectious enthusiasm for the world’s most popular instrument: the guitar. Doug will explore how the guitar is a key part of a wide range of musical styles from rock, classical, and flamenco to Celtic. This exciting performance will include audience participation as part of the “rhythm section” in an impromptu jam session that is sure to be fun for all ages.
Doug Yeomans brings more than thirty years of award-winning performing, recording, and teaching experience to young people across Western New York. He was the winner of the 2001 North American Rock Guitar Competition and was named Best Blues Guitarist in 2001 and 2003 by the Buffalo Music Awards. He teaches hundreds of guitar students and his performing career has taken him from Broadway to Los Angeles, with many stops between.
