  • Please do not lean on the walls.
  • No running or pushing; please walk slowly and carefully.
  • Be respectful to other visitors and guided tours by speaking quietly.
  • In most cases, non-flash photography is allowed, but we sometimes ask you not to take photos of artworks on view that we do not own.
  • Please use only pencils to take notes or sketch. Pens and other writing instruments are not permitted. (Pencils are available at the Welcome Desk.)

  • All items entering and leaving Albright-Knox Northland are subject to inspection.

Chaperone Guidelines

Chaperones can enhance the success of a group tour and the amount of learning that can take place by showing active interest in the works of art while supervising student behavior. When students see adults interested and engaged, they are more likely to respond themselves. We also ask chaperones to observe the following guidelines:

  • Please stay with your assigned group at all times, including during and after the tour.
  • Please refrain from chatting or wandering off during the tour.
  • Please turn off cell phones during your visit.
  • It is the responsibility of each chaperone to review the visit guidelines above, to communicate the rules to his or her group, and to enforce the rules at all times while at Albright-Knox Northland. If student behavior is found to be disruptive, the Albright-Knox reserves the right to ask the group to sit out the rest of the tour.
