Join Godin-Spaulding Curator & Curator for the Collection Holly E. Hughes on an entertaining, fact-filled tour of the American Southwest. Santa Fe and Taos are home to a distinctive art and lifestyle. This is the perfect trip to savor the art and landscape at a pace that is a bit slower, providing travelers the opportunity to experience the galleries, museums, and finer details of the art scene.

Day 1

Guests arrive independently in Santa Fe. Hotel accommodations have been arranged at the El Dorado Inn and Spa in the center of the city. Our trip begins with a welcome reception.

Day 2: Santa Fe Essentials

Godin-Spaulding Curator & Curator for the Collection Holly E. Hughes begins the journey by leading a visit to the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, with a leisurely stroll along Canyon Road with stops to meet friends of the Albright-Knox, including owners of and artists represented by several modern and contemporary art galleries.

Day 3: Celebrating the Arts in Taos

We will travel together to Taos for a full day of museum and gallery exploration with a private reception.

Day 4: A Local’s New Mexico

Spend time with the curatorial team of the newly renovated SITE Santa Fe, delve into the rich history of the region with a visit to The Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian, and explore the popular Railyard District.

Day 5

In the morning, guests will have the option of touring Optional morning tour of Los Alamos, the historic birthplace of the atom bomb. In the afternoon, we will visit the San Francisco de Assisi Mission Church in Rancho de Taos, which intrigued both Ansel Adams and Georgia O’Keeffe, and the Museum of International Folk Art. There will also be free time to shop and explore, and the day ends with a farewell dinner.

Day 6: Departures

Group transfers to Santa Fe Municipal Airport or Albuquerque International Sunport.

Cost

$2,250 per person based on double room occupancy; $2,650 per person based on single occupancy. Each fee includes a $500 tax-deductible travel honorarium per person. Hotel accommodations, most meals, museum admissions, and ground transportation are included. Airfare is the traveler’s responsibility; current direct flights from Buffalo to Albuquerque are around $350, and the shuttle drive from Albuquerque to Santa Fe is $30.
